  1. I received the same e-mail, half the photos are photoshopped. You can really tell with the Sammy and Marilyn one. That was a photo shot she did with that Singer that was posted her on the HAMB before.

Can you be sure? It seems there were two cars and several people present for that shoot. Elaborate sort of hoax, if indeed it is.

Considering the huge mass of four giant prop shafts and screws, I suspect those tiny nicks are relatively insignificant. Gary

I guess at the slower speed it wouldnt be a problem, but in a small boat with the high speed it would be a problem and look at the size, they are not tiny nicks

  22. I bet Ronny, Bobby and Amy can hoist this on in under 30 seconds without the Redneck drama.

Here's my contribution. This was my grandfathers appliance business in Louisville Ky. I found this picture after my grandmother came to live with us. I was forever in love with panel trucks and actually got on a few years later.

Yes, but... at full speed (30+ knots) the prop shaft of a large, heavy battleship like those in used in WWII is only around 200 RPM. And at that speed the the drag and cavitation is already monumental and the amount of power needed to make that speed via the spinning mass of the whole propulsion system could only be described as unbelievable. And they could do it for several days, if needed (before the fuel levels got too low). Those are small chips... probably from dented submarines! Gary
