Glad it's not getting wasted, the 48-53 Dodges don't seem to get a lot of love.

But yeah, I want to find those corner windows and get the steel around them kind of like in this photo:

Then I could weld it into my 36 GMC (which was built with a 37 Dodge truck cab when it was hot rodded in the 40's)

And what I was thinking of was welding in either a 51 IHC rear window, or 35 Terraplane (as I have that part from both vehicles) which is a 2 piece unit on either for a look kinda like this quick dirty photoshop I just did.

  2. The late '40s Cadillac grille sure would work well on a '46 Ford pickup a friend of mine is building.

Take it home and put a mattress inside.:)

I'd definitely take that and do something with it. Couldn't stand to see it get crushed.

I said hey I am towing this home and he said nope a guy up the road is selling it to us in the morning ,blah blah, blah ,I said it sure looks abandoned on the street to me.So I have to see this when I get to work in the morning and the boss will say nope sorry Ed .I would of done a night on the couch to save this one too.Ha damn

Yea the thief in me would have waited till later and had the tow truck buddy haul it "off" and as far as you know someone else took it kinda thing but since the co worker talked to you it would look suspicious. I think we're all on that same boat tho because even with the rust there's a place on my side yard for it and heck everybody and there mom repops sheet metal for 57s. I admire your courage Eddie to see that shit daily because I couldnt watch it get scrapped. I would be like you and try to take it home. Like cash said "I got it one piece at a time"

King Pen Road off 272. As of 2005 the yard was enormous and still full of old stuff. I don't know what's there now.
