  2. Absolutely not New York!

    Taxes and weather killed it.

But we have a great car culture.

    You're trolling, right?
    EVERYBODY knows its TEXAS!!

  4. Are you making a move? HRP

  5. New York has the most liberal auto registration. Taxes, about 8 states have no income and a few have no sales tax, you pretty much have to pick from those I suppose.

Considering ALL of the criteria, Texas just may be hard to beat. Not to forget, it's also the geographic "home" of the H.A.M.B. DD

That Greatest State would be The Great State of Texas, thank you very much.
As Mr. Crockett was rumored to have said, "You all can go to Hell, I will go to TEXAS!"

The Republic of Texas. No state income taxes, not much rust, a car-friendly state. Plus, we have EXTRA heat if you need it.

California? Isn't that where they're getting strict on titles and emission standards for classic cars?

Texas DMV can be difficult, but only if your paper work is shady. No state tax, low cost of living. Cruisin' season is 10 months. 12 months last year.

I had to look to see who wrote that. Figured it was a three post troll.

Every damned state has it's good points and bad points. A guy just has to figure out if the + side outweighs the - side of the sheet.

Job market, taxes, quality of schools for your kids, housing costs. Weather.
Other things to do besides car events and cars if we aren't one of those stuck in a one hobby or activity rut.

regulations concerning hot rods or custom cars. Number and quality of car related events. Availability of good shops within a reasonable driving/hauling distance if you have need of one's services.

The lists go on and on-------

Hey don't knock California to a Californian we want to keep them there. They move out of state and the first thing they do is Californicate the place they move to. They even named the streets in a whole subdivision in Issaquah, Wa with California names so they would feel more at home when they moved in.

  29. Missouri.....
it is a place with beautiful scenery.low priced high end properties low taxes and now that global warmup has became the norm our winters are pretty mild as well.
If you have nice property there it will even at the reduced prices there net you enough to buy a better home with land here and enough left over to live 10 15 years on the balance.I see it all the time lately.
if you are still working age that is the only downside as when you get in the industry areas you also lose the benefits I mention....
    EVERYONE here has weapons.....
so you'll never have to use yours,it is understood that it will be "taken care of"..... so it saves a lot of EVERYONES time.

Oh and we dont have every Geek-tech head in America moving here nor are we at war with druglords at our borders....
