Putting a 67 pontiac 326 into model a frame, Th 350 and looking for info. as to who makes aftermarket motor mounts for this swap. Saw an old post here, someone was into Pontiacs also....Hellonwheels ????? Would appreciate any and all assistance Thanks
There is a later style side mount Hurst mount, but it's not worth the time or money to try and find one. The early style bolts to the cover, but I wouldn't do it with an aluminum cover. Set it in place and build side mounts... Or maybe try a universal tubular crossmember if you have room where it would come up to the frame..
IIRC, Pontiac V8 and SBC motor mounts are the same. Or at least they are the same location, relative to the front and rear parts of the engine. TH350s all have the same rear mount, only the engine bolt patterns differ.
the bolt patterns on the engine are WAY different. the locations of the factory style frame mounts might be the same, but the motor piece is different.
