Does anyone know if there is a door skin available for a 62 Galaxie 2 door? I have checked with the resto catalogs and they have nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is what is holding up the progress on my car.
You're going to have to find an used door, unless you find someone with old stock somewhere. I don't think even "back in the day" anybody repoped a door skin. 61-62 Galaxie doors are the same other than the trim location if that helps. Good Luck!
I was afraid of that. I posted an ad in the cl***ifieds, but no luck yet. I keep getting strange looks when I roll up to a yard and ask for a part for a 50 year old car.
A friend from high school is fixing the door. I took it to him and he said it is no problem. He said he can replace the section that is damaged and it will be as good as new.
