Does anybody know anything about this little store? I'd like to know what the symbols, or whatever, across the top of both walls are.

I stopped by this place about 10 years ago as I was returning from Bonneville. There are/were some interesting vehicles in the collection, but many were misidentified. I was surprised to see the number of Studebakers there. Most cars were not well cared for, but were still good to look at.

Something else you don't see anymore - bicyclists in sane clothing.

  8. good comment, same over here, to a man who has been deepfreezed in the 50's or whenever the bicyclists from nowadays must look like from outerspace. rc'd robots on wheels. no pride to see on 'em.

Looks like it started life as a '28 or '29 Cadillac Sedan that was cut down into a wrecker/snowplow

  22. It was called the "All American Meal", with change back from your dollar. I remember it cause my family had a restaurant back then and we took cues from Ronalds advertising.

There's something about that picture, the cars, the bicycles and the guys in it that doesn't jibe.

Single speed "ONE GEAR" & no hand breaks visible -
possibly Fixed Gear or also Known as "FIXIE" ----
Rider uses muscles pushing in reverse on pedals
to slow bike - very fast very dangerous- Fixie Bikes
are usually only ridden by very good riders ........

What's "insane" about bicycle clothing? YOu wear special, i.e. "unusual or odd clothingfor fishing, hunting, playing tennis, running track, etc.

Someone a little insecure about what THEY'D look like in spandex?:D
