Hello guys, Im on the hunt for a y block flywheel and I had some questions maybe I can gt answered. Is the y block flywheel unique? Can I use a truck flywheel in a car? Thanks. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Alright Thanks guys I was a little iffi since I've never dealt with manual transmission flywheel . Thanks again
They will all physically bolt up to the crank but are drilled for different size pressure plates. Easy enough to have one redrilled if need be, but something to be aware of so you gather all the correct pieces.
I run the flywheel and 11 inch pressure plate from a F600 and a 11 inch disc with a 4spd rug no problem the flywheel looks the same as a pass flywheel
How about if I have a t-bird bellhousing? Would a truck flywheel n pressure plate work? Because I am aware that the truck bellhousing is a little bigger! What would be the cause of that? Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
I have 54 flywheel on a 59ish 292 truck motor with T bird bell house connected to a later 50's od three speed w/a Tbird clutch. I think you"ll be fine.
Be carefull, the flywheel from a 64 f100 with the large spline input 3 speed will not fit in a pass bell.
