Julst wanted to throw up a pic or two and a thanks to Pat at Real Rodders Wheels and Cody and Steve from Hurst tires. Both transactions were easy and I got what i believe to be the highest quality wheels and tires for the look I was going for. Thanks again to all of you- it transformed my truck. FWIW- thise are Pat's 15x4.5 Kidney beans and 15x8 rear sprints in polished finish. The tires are some 165s I had and Cody's 30x10x15 Cheaters. I still need to black out the rear drums and add the flat, polished plates to the rear wheels. Hope you guys dig it-I do.

Love those kidney bean Hali look-alikes. Wish more guys used those instead of the faux spindle-mounts.

Hey! Thats my old truck. Did you buy it from Bruce? The wheels and tires REALLY look good on the old girl. It's a great car.

I'd leave the rear wheels alone and forget about the plates.

Hey Mick! Yeah I bought it from Bruce a couple months ago. That guy is one of a kind. It sounds like he and I are going to Boneville next year and I can't wait. I've been having a blast with this thing. Been doing little upgrades here and there, but it's really well built and a rock solid performer. I begged my dad to buy a '29 RPU at the NSRA nats in 1989, and when he finally gave in the guy had sold it just minutes before we got back to him. I never forgot that truck- so over 22 yeas later and dozens of hot rods and muscle cars come and gone, I saw this and pounced on it. I've put more miles on it in 60 days than the cars I've sold in the last 3 years. I love it.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Glad you guys all share the same vision I had. If anyone is looking at RR wheels, I'd be happy to steer them to Richard, the nor-cal dealer. The guy is a class act and a serious enthusiast. Happy hot rodding dudes!

the fronts are 165's? they look like 135 or maybe 145. very nice looking ride you got. i find it's always better to spend the money and get what you really want instead of settling on a cheaper deal.

Money well spent, truck looks great. I've had my original Real Wheels since '86 when I got them from Eric Vaughn. Have never had another wheel on my 3W, they just look right.
