Its been behaving. I gave it some new oil, plugs, exhaust gaskets, and some other maintenence today as a reward. If nothing else the damn thing keeps me out of trouble...
It's that "constantly working on my car so I don't have to walk" thing! Been three weeks straight with that deal on the Mav... Oh, and the Plymouth too.
See everyone there. Got the camera's battery on the charger. If everyone is early enouh, I will try & get some pictures.
If its not one thing, its another. And now I'm gearing up to make another one. What. Am. I. Thinking....
I wont be there this saturday or next. I am going on a hike with the guys from the local Pontiac club on the 6th & on the 13th we have 15 spaces reserved at park central for the cruise.
Looking forward to tonight, will have some flyers that I want to pass out at next week. It sure has been a nice day, it will be a nice night.
I replaced my front axle with a used one that i got the kingpins replaced in but i have to work tonight up in rio verde so no central ave for tonight. I am planning to be there on rhe 13th Jeem, yes i worked as a shop helper for about a year which turned into karls whipping boy when he bought a new house that needed the horse stalls cleaned out
Now that I think about it, I must have seen you there at some point or another. I sure miss that joint... Hell, If I hadn't had to grow up and become a business guy I'd still have been behind the counter peddling parts to the valley's VW faithfull. It had been 25 years since I worked there, still felt like home everytime I walked in the door.
Really looking forward to this week coming up, should be a lot of fun with all the cars back on Central. Hopefully the flyers will help keep it going afterwards, and hopefully we will all be able to get together at McDonalds at sometime.
I will be there with the local on line Ponriac club. We have 15 spaces reserved at the mall. My fiend Steve will be there with his Mickey Thompson Pontiac Hemi powered flat bottom boat!! He plans on firing it up a couple of times. I belive we will be right by the sponsers T shirt sales tent. If anyone is in the area, stop by & say HI!!
I sure hope its like it was 2 shows ago and not lame like the last one. I am going to cruise 7th ave from thomas to indian school if the cop presence is there this time like last. Hang out meet up spot could be long wongs parking lot. I am sure they wont mind the revenue
Lets see, 5th & Thomas, The Firehouse on Jefferson, 43rd ave & Indianschool, 2800 E Thomas, 3600 E Indianschool, & also at Central & Baseline,,,Thats just the Phoenix locations I know of, not including Tempe, Scottsdale, etc, etc. I dont think Nick gets out much!
I'll be up there. It will be cool to meet some AZ HAMBers Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
For the Central Ave gig, I normally sneak in the back way on the north side of Park central and park in the second story parking garage. No need to pay to park, and I hit the show on foot. Easy and it keeps me away from the police. I really don't even try to "cruise" on Central during these events anymore, that's what ou weekly stuff is for now that it is cooling down.
Got the windows open here at the shire and can already hear the big stuff going up and down the street... God I love living on Central!
I left mcds and hung out north of camelback with a friend. Pretty much sucked that far up. All the action was south of indian school. Came back down to mcds and some guy in a silver 55 post chevy bel air found his gas pedal at least 6 times throughout the neighborhood east of mcds. One time he pulled in the parking lot and left with his wheels squeeling as he turned and kept spinning his tires. Just waited for him to take out the wall around the trash can but he kept it under control while doing a 180 out to the street.
We smelled alot more clutch dust than tire rubber last night. Also saw our fair share of idiots doing idiotic things. That silver 55 getting sideways loaded down with small children comes mind. The black fox body kid was a good one too... But you know, these guys are invincible and all those people sitting in chairs on the sidewalk will certainly be able to get out of the way. Awesome to see the Daytona coupe, the Purple Pimp was a riot, contemplating the talents of the blonde in the Veyron with you guys was a blast, and Jerry steady talking shit... you can never have enough of that. Did we ever figure out what that blue, wire wheeled, Engla-talian-ish, roadster, sports car thing was? Had more than a couple guys say they'd be coming to the reguar Saturday deal. I think they'll turn up too, dudes I talked to were excited to hear we do this all the time. I'll see you guys in a couple weeks with pics and wonderous tales from the land of Bakersfield.
