^^ Thanks, James. You're driving up the cost of Forward Control Jeeps.

For the recore I like this better, I was thinking old Dodge van Headlight rings to make the lights more in proportion, but they'd prpobably look too much like eyes lol! You guys do cool work.

You didn't mention where you wanted what color, so I just took a stab at it. Here's black, with orange/red/yellow...

Maybe If I imbed the image, this will stir someone's creative juices. Looking for a version of this in a dark green (jewel tone) with a lot of pearl and a white firewall. If you feel ambious and it's not too difficult, I intend to seperate the firewall with a chrome strip and chrome the split bones

Okay, Can I get a couple of more 50's colors paint options? I really like the Black/white top but my misses is concerned that my first attempt at body work may not be up to the test of Black.

    Thanks Dave

This one was really fiddly and I'm not wild about the way it turned out.
I used a 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon trim and cut-and-fudged. The result looks kind of like an old Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Not a big fan of that body the big kick up on the roof at the back kind of looks like a after thought. wood trim looks good around the outside but I also don't like the hard wood floor look with the strips. I hate to say it but some times the mactac looks better.

Sorry. I tried to post the color chips from the 55's off of the web but couldn't get them to link.
It would be the bluish and green tints..

Wow, that's cool, you are awesome. Love the little touches with the shading and pin striping. Anything else you think would look cool other colors, details?

I have to agree. Actually, the '54 Ford Ranch Wagons (which I used for my model) had a stick-on vinyl for the wood graining in the middle. Even the Chrysler Town & Country woodies used something called Di-Noc (I think) for paneling inside the real wood surround.

    Dave,

Looks good to me! Thanks for the pic.

FYI- Wagonaire designer Brook Stevens also worked on the Wagoneer so your observation is right on the money.

    You're welcome.
I had forgotten about the Brooks Stevens connection. I like his stuff a lot.
He had a good eye for style and space utilization.

Someone want to play with this a little? want a more traditional look to the rims, maybe a different color- not sure how to go. Edit- kind of a crappy angle to photoshop with. Maybe just some color options.

Check out the 1955-56 Dodge color chart for some really nice shades.

How about a custom look? Your model really responds to the shave-and-lower approach.
