    My guess was Ralph Nader. That MGB has genuine knock offs that he had managed to convince like minded mamby pambys to outlaw the use of.

    Not true. The "N" series tractor motor was mostly 1/2 of the new Mercury V-8. It shared a number of internal components with the v-8 and displaced 119 ci. (239/2) It featured an item from the future with it's bearing shell style rods which wouldn't appear in the v-8 until the 8BA debuted in 1948.
