    The Imperial caps are neat. I don't think I've ever seen them used on a custom before.

    MAN there's a bunch of talented folks AND astonishing cars in this thread. I love it.

    The guys are starting Emma Jean's NEW shop/garage tomorrow so I'm thinking 'why not just start from the beginning'.

    She's goin' up on stands so I can;
    Body off - easier to repair and paint the frame
    dash out - whole car needs re-wired.
    interior RE-upholstered
    Brakes need attention
    Clutch / P'plate and throw-out bearing
    SOOooo
    Engine is coming out - adjust valve lash on the Mercury flathead.
    Some
    Sand and otherwise "re-do" engine bay too. I'm thinkin' WHITE this time.

    Anyway, maybe I should start a "build thread"?

    Love them shoeboxes! Here's a few pictures of mine, though progress has been slow. Bought it as a barn find with a seized motor, was in storage since 73. I rebuilt the flatty and recently dropped it back in. Finally got it running, just need to work on the brake system now.

    This question may have been asked but the 'search' shows nothing--Did you have to grind away on the calipers to get the scarbird disc brake adapter to fit? I wondered if my steering arm was bent but I had to grind even more on the other side. It looks like the disc brake kit should have been designed to mount the caliper higher. Theres lots of room up there.
