  1. HA! I had a Palm Beach too! Sold it after I got this virgin Canyonlands.

HAMB friendly? Probably not:(...but in the cult that is GMC, they're referred to as "12000 pound hot rods with plumbing" well, it does have a big block Olds...and one holds a record at Bonneville(still, I think?)...

Sorry to hear that. I was recently forced to resign... sucks but everything happens for a reason. Something better may come along. Good luck buddy.

meanwhile, back to where this thread started....I put the old bread truck that Jason gave me, into my shop, for some work. I got ahold of a 1967 chevy rearend, from a 1 ton truck cab-chassis motorhome. I'll see if I can put it in the van. It has a 4.57 ratio instead of 5.14, and more modern brakes, plus I got a set of wheels and tires for it, 16s instead of the 18s that the van came with.

There is one around here... I lost exact track of it, but know someone who knows.

Word has it that a carb base nut fell in the intake and it hasnt been run since.
    Purple of all colors!

Did you know they made a sci-fi movie in the 70's where those RVs were made into planetary rovers?

They also had a movie with James Caan where there were two black ones stalking him cross country. I think it was called Slither.

    Check out this build

Pics of the truck start on page 6 and the build is interestin because the owner is building it himself on a shoestring budget

Solid bohemian motorcity love. Great stuff.

So who can ID the two cars in this photo? Extra credit if you tell me what the cat in the boat is fishing for.

Not technically a motor home but a camper. Cool and it's for sale!

I saw the craziest 50's -60's bus motorhome conversation drive past me at an intersection today in Berkeley. Wish I could have gotten a shot of it. But it was all dark brown and huge and was some kind of bizarre 3 level configuration. The height of this thing to the top had to be pushing some serious height restrictions. It appeared to be consistently done and an original setup and not some classic hippy fantasia love fest disaster. If I see it again, I'll try to grab a shot of it. In the meantime, you'll have to use your imagination.

Its pretty obvious, at least to me. There are no curtains in the window.

No, that one is a bit wild. Must have taken a few tabs to come up with that scheme.

The one I saw was very similar to this one I found using google, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same one.

I finally stopped at both those places early this year. Some very cool cars and buses. Didn't see that shoebox at the bus yard though.

Mine's a bit too new but it is the original "Toy Box" hauler, at least in my neighborhood. I built it to haul motorcycles about 15 years ago. Found one with the bathroom in front, took out the rear dining area, moved a few tanks and what not, cut the side out, built it into a door/sunshade. The side loading is terrific, right from the driveway. Been over most of the USA in it. Short, 18ft, fits in a standard parking space.
