We called it " Shooting the Loop" back in the day.....

..... and don't forget when you got to the end of south main you turned right to get over to Minnesota Avenue then you turned left and cruised for about 4 miles or so down South Minnesota Avenue to the Barrel Drive-in, The Dairy Queen and The A & W Drive-in , then turned around and raced back up north along Minnesota Avenue until Dakota Street, then a right and over back a few blocks east and taking a hard left back onto Phillips Avenue and then down (north) on Phillips Avenue 10 blocks or so until you got the end of Phillips Avenue by the old train station depot, then a left 1 block to Main Avenue, then a left and away you went again. Shooting the " Loop " as it was called back then. Downtown Phillips Avenue and Main Avenue were both 3 lanes one way each. So a lot of street racing from stop light to stop light occurred.

Oh and by the way, The Washington Warriors Rule!

I recall my older siblings having one of these plastic Beatle wigs and finding it unattended in their treehouse I seized the opportunity to finally try it on only to discover it lacked a drain hole.

Usually the words "live with it" are a crappy excuse for being rude or just plain mean.

I loved those Francis The Talking Mule movies but I would have sworn it was Donald Oconner that starred in those movies.

You are correct. Donald O'Connor was in all of them with the exception of this last one in 1956 that had Mickey Rooney.
