If it is low priced
I would buy the POSI 8 inch center section for no other reason than they are fairly rare. 9 inch Posi's are common ... the 8 inch ones are hard to find.

Ford did not install many limited slip rears in the 8 inch Ford. Vehicles that got the 8 inch rear end were not considered
" performance " vehicles.

That said ... I have found a couple in Pinto cruising wagons. Factory installed

 

Yes they are somewhat rare and as someone else said.... It's a hot rod....why not do it. Deuce do you figure the factory was anticipating V8s getting stuffed in the Pintos!
