This car was equipped with a blower in 1971 wherein it ran AA/GS. Troxell then sold it to a guy from Puerto Rico, who crashed it on its first full pass. Troxell replaced it with a blown gas funny car.

  15. I have this one tucked in the garage. I've got 2 other projects to finish before I can begin working on it. It has an Olds/Pontiac rear with ladder bars and the front end seems to be from an Opel. Has a rack and pinion steering setup on it. I want to install a full cage first, since I'm gonna race it. I have a complete fiberglass front for it also.[IMG]

WTF? Are you saying I don't know what car I have?
No, it's an Austin, and the original post was "Anglias, or any other old British cars."

  24. Here is one I bought this back in the mid 80's down in N.C. it was an old drag car had Kannapolis auto parts on the side. It had a 2x3 frame spindle mount spoke wheels and a glass front. Sold it at a rod run in maryland. I would love to know its history or where it went.

I need rear fenders for my "Attic Anglia" find. Steel ones are scarce, which got me to thinking:
Why not find a steel fender that is close to the right size / shape and modify it to fit my Anglia? Then I thought of the Volkswagen Beetle, either original or reincarnate versions. The size and shape is about right and repop steel VW fenders are real inexpensive. Has anybody done this? Can anybody photoshop one for me. I'm not averse to making new mini-tubs to help mate them up. Suggestions?

I'll start a new thread on this topic and post pics as I progress.- just want to give y'all a heads up.

:)Here are my Thames and my 49 Ford Panel. The 49 Thames is the vehicle that I learned to drive in around the farm fields behind our home when I was 14. (49 years ago). The 49 Ford Panel was on my paper route when I was 10 or 12 years old, and I bought it for $25. in 1972,(age 23) and drove it home. The 48 Thames is new to me as of last week, but I've known of it since 1998 and have been trying to buy it for the last 8 years. I now have book-ends for the "Big Ford".:D

    Beautiful rides. A two-holer and a three-holer. I'm impressed.
It looks like you're also a fellow ONDR member.

    Love the truck too.
