Sorry to disappoint you man, but that was Link Wray and drum machine quite late in his career. Link Wray and the Wraymen are a much earlier phenomenon with very little to do with modern-day rockabilly or old-time rockabilly. But they were pretty much the godfathers of everything rock 'n' roll guitar wise. And Link Wray himself is nothing short of God.
I know this is off topic, but I just felt it necessary to point out that this is not the Linkster at his best.

Absolutely! And in my humble opinion he went on to better that with stuff like "Rawhide", "Jack the Ripper", "deuces wild", and a list of late 50s and early 60s stuff as long as my arm, but unfortunately I can't find car related videos of any of those. :D

geez....happened again - one of you folks post a good music video, so off I go to give it a listen, then I see another video featuring rockabilly, then next thing I know I'm watching Willie and Ray do Seven Spanish Angels, then I realize I want to listen to the Travelin' Wilburys which reminds me of Roy, so I watch a couple of his, then realize this all started with rockabilly, so I hit the Brian Setzer section, and then get caught up watching boogie woogie piano and dance videos....how am I supposed to get anything done?

Obviously you were born last week and have no idea as to what Hollywood thought hot rodding was all about back then. Surprised you didn't say the cars were period incorrect and OT.

Probably the only exposure to Rockabilly that many reading here have had is the cartoonish modern day scenester rendition. I think everyone should know that many folks that are well schooled in the early music find this offensive. Much the same as the true traditional hot rod folks here find the rat fad offensive.
Many fans of "guitar gods" from the late 60's and 70's seem to think that their heros were great innovators that obtained their chops out of the air from pure genius, or maybe drugs. Fact is, a great deal of it came from Link Wray. One in particular, a young Mr. Jimi Hendrix, was a careful study of Link Wray and used much of what he learned from Link's chops.....some 10 years later in the game.

Trivia question of the day: Who was the first to intentionally use tube guitar amplifier distortion as a sound effect in studio recording?

Okay, I realise this is a somewhat tenacious link, but it might please some of the hotrod boys enough to come under on topic.:pRemember, this thunderous and mighty assault on your eardrums comes from 1964, (you know, when those nice Beatles were singing those nice songs like "I Wanna hold your hand" for nice people.

Outlaw, the amount of bullshit I am full of, you would need more than a few hours:D.

Thought I would try and squeeze just one more in before the lock, this time a 1959 recording named after a serial killer. Can you imagine how this must've sounded to the squares back then? Another planet, baby, another planet
