2012 Fall Conroe Swapmeet

The Fall Conroe Texas swap meet is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday....November 2,3,4th 2012... who's going.....I'll be there Friday for the weekend....weather looks great

Finally I will be home instead of out of state. I have missed the last 5 years of the swapmeet. I'll be there. Gathered up quite a bit to sell.

 

It will be good to see you TP, it's been awhile.

 

Will be there Saturday looking for parts for my 1930 Sport coupe and 40 Ford truck.

 

I'll be there Sunday, I'm going to Revolution on Saturday.

 

Went today. Lots of stuff still coming in when I left about 1:30. Tomorrow should be good.

 

I have never seen this meet so crowded. Lots of good stuff for sale. Lots of early stuff too.

I thought the meet was great. I sold a few things I was through with and bought some pieces I really needed. I saw friends I haven't seen in 5-7 years and got to visit with them. I bought a space on friday morning and due to the fact it was sold out my space location sucked. I met up with Wino and Ronnie and they invited me to bring my junk to their space. lots of traffic and made a big differance. I used my space for parking my truck. I had a blast visiting with Sheldon and Ronnie. Lots of good deals I thought. I bought an original 32 insert that was tweeked a little but usable as is -cheap. I also bought a nice set of Cobra seats that were excellant for a good price. Found 9 model 32 coupe,2-34 coupes,Little red wagon,37 ford pickup, and a few more cars that I wanted cheap. N.O.S. 50 ford dash[Thanks Ronnie]. I also found an old Porcelian "Lone Star Beer " sign not so cheap but I have been hunting for a while. Lots of harley parts at a good price. Going back tomorrow to make my final pass. Enjoyed seeing everyone. TP

 

This was only my third year to go, but it was as big as I've ever seen it and crowded, too. I scored a couple 19" model a wheels a couple of good tires, model a steering column and rebuilt gearbox and almost hauled out an iron head sportster project, but decided to stay married for a bit longer....
Best thing was I got to spend the day with my Dad, my 13 year old son, my brother, and two cousins. It was like a family reunion!

Got out of there before the storm hit in the afternoon. It was fierce.

 

Good to see you this year TP, we had a great time. We have the same spaces in June and then again next fall. Don't buy any spaces, bring your stuff over again. Thanks for the Harley parts and the great visit. All in all the weekend went to fast, there was just not enough time to see it all.
