What is the COOLEST Looking V8 you would have in your HotRod

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by AHotRod, May 27, 2004.

  1. I'm a Ford guy and even I'd like a Nailhead! ( A 427 SOHC is cooler in some ways but I could actually afford a nailhead!)

  2. Very nice, those are the coolest looking engines in my opinion.

I didn't see a good picture of one, but if I were rich I would put a factory correct air cleaner to oil pan 2-4 BBl Corvette motor in my 49 Chevy.

I agree, 270hp 283 has to rate pretty high on my list, especially the '57, with the little aircleaners.

Depends on the car, for my '28, it's got a flatty, if I had a '32 (a little bigger) it needs a SBC with 3-dueces, a '27 (little smaller) a Quad-4, dressed like an Offy.

Next question, which post has the longest running string of replies?

Chevy 302 w/ tunnel ram and 30/30 cam. Or a ford 427 cammer.

But it's damn hard to pick only one!!!!!

And on the 7th day God created the HEMI.

392 or crate 528 either, Blown for my 57 Dodge, that would be a dream come true.

  25. I think someone (not me) should total all the choices and lets see what engine is most desirable.

  29. Another vote for the nailhead, gobs of torque and they look so cool fully dressed. Love to put one in my 40.
