    Description

The Portland Company, which began as a builder of steam locomotives, created a parade float that demonstrates its many products and functions. The float, parked at the Portland Company headquarters on Fore Street, features the label "Builders of Steam Vessels," and is decorated with bells, lights, gears, wheels, and various fittings. The float also notes the company's many products: locomotive, marine and stationary engines; car wheels, shafting, gearing, boilers, and castings.

Great image of an early wood burning loco. I thought I knew my old railroads but this one has me stumped. My guess would be... New Brunswick and Central? any one know for sure. Must be Canadian as the U.S. used "R.R." for rail road as opposed to Canada which used "R" for railway. Like the image below, Grand Trunk Railway.

This Demand Conoco garage and service station was on Classen Drive, in Oklahoma City, OK. We also have a photo of the State Line Station on Route 66 on the Oklahoma - Kansas state line
