Can I give you a little advice? When I was 16 (in late '83) I got a 1948 Ford Coupe with 42,000 miles. Drove it, Loved it. In '85, Dad talked me into getting a "newer car" as an everyday driver (WOW, he was pissed when I showed up with a 64 Galaxie) The '48 went to my friends shop and we began working on it. A guy showed up, interested and I shot him what I thought was a crazy price. The next day he showed up with cash. Car was gone, never to be seen again. Do not ever sell your car, you will regret it. I have been wanting another 48, but rotted projects are going for what I bought and sold my low mileage car for.
Keep it, it is equity and a part of your life.

    Just an FYI

PS. Sweet ride, I have a 54 Victoria at this time

oh hell yeah, i'll NEVER sell my truck. i've never driven it or even hear it run, but it's still my baby. you will remember this car forever. it's not just a car, it's your fist sign of freedom, hold it dear to your heart. well, maybe not that close, sounded like Arnie Cunningham right there, just never sell it.

  13. If you plan on driving girls around, make sure to chrome your glove box door. Just a pro-tip. I wish I did that in high school.

Summit sells them, and they seem to have a really good return policy if you end up getting a bad one, just in case. I'd start there, although I've never personally bought one of those wheels from them. If I wanted some though, that's probably where I'd get them.

This is my high school car, 1959 thru 1961. Lower than a snakes belly and flathead powered.
