Hi I've searched the internet, old mags and catalog and still can't find who made it. It's a 4 barrels, has a oil filler tube and this ''W'' on the back. Hope someone know what is it. Thanks!
Late `60s-`70s Weiand intakes have that type of "W" cast in them. Should also say Weiand in block letters.
really? you only had ONE shot left in your camera, and this is what you want us to use to identify a whole intake? That's like showing your doctor a section of your arm and then asking him if you have appendicitis. Identifying stuff on here is sort of fun - those of us that have touched/used/installed/tossed more parts than typical love to show off our knowledge. Questions about a part should be accompanied by a clear photograph of that part, and other photos that show any casting numbers, brand names, and most specifically an overall shot so we can see where the distributor fits, what the intake configuration is, where the t/stat housing is located. Come on....you can do better. Now you know it's likely a Weiand (say WHY-AND), did that help you...did it?
Ok guys, sorry for the close-up pics, I have 2 more, hope this will help. I was thinking about Weiand too at first but can't find any other script, letters or number on it...It's just plain with this ''W''. The owner bought it in '71. Thanks for your time!
The later WINTERS emblem cast into the manifold looked like this, a " W " surrounded by 6 what looked almost like inverted " GROUND " symbols. Like the ground symbols used in electrical blueprints. Yes one could call them " snow flakes ", TR
Yes, they do. That's why I thought maybe early Winters, possibly before they adopted the sno-flake design surrounding the 'W'.
Looks almost exactly like the Weiand WCVSQ I bought a few weeks ago. The W matches exactly. The front lettering is definitely missing though.
I think we have a winner, thank you n2racin51, the front lettering was probably smooted at one moment. Everything's matching. Again, thanks to all, it's appreciated!
