Someday, I'll be able to do that level of work if I work and work and work at it. I love the tree stump forming table.

Welcome to the HAMB! Great info, I watched the video on gas welding, why do you have a nut on the tip of your torch? Bob

  11. HI Guys
Thank you for the kind words.
    Bob
the nut at the end of the torch is simply to hold the torch on the stand.

Welcome, love your videos, when I started working on cars torch welding was all we had. But you sure make it look easy. Making that quarter was unbelievable, anything special about the steel or thickness? Ron

Nice job how long did it take to make that 1/4 from start to finish ?

  18. Great, where are the days when you could get a decent HK Monaro for $ 800.00 , clean it up and double your money :D.

  19. Hi carpok
the steel we use is call Cold Rolled CA3 and it's one mm thick
    Peter

  20. HI bridger
from start to finish welded on and lead load all joints and gapt 120 hr
    Peter

  21. Very cool. I enjoyed your gas welding on youtube also! Todd

  22. Really nice work! So 1 mm is 20 guage and it looks like CA3 is a draw quality steel is that correct?

  23. YES that is correct
But you can also use(dippending on the job) CA2/CA4/ and CA5 the higher the number the softer the metal is .... the CA5 is very soft but because of it lead content is alittle harder to weld

Wow, incredible. A longer version of that vid would be great for the metal man who wants to learn more.
