I'd be happy to help 'im clean 'em, eh???:D

(Seriously, though, gettin' some major league deja vu here lately. All over, and over and over again.)

  22. Two totally different observations.
First that Buick/Oldsmobile? 2 seater with the cut-away fenders in post #55841 is awesome! What is that?
Second, re: all the WW11 pictures,
"We sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm" George Orwell
There isn't enough praise we can heap on our combat veterans. Anything we will say will surely fall short of the mark....

    Nice Collection !

    Attached Files:

  25. My dad had a Kodak "Retina II" camera very similar that he used to take a TON of Kodachrome slides when he was stationed in Morocco and Europe in the late 40's/early 50's.
The color and sharpness is still exceptional.

  26. Man, Swi66, you're unstopable, thanks a ton for all the nice stuff! i love this one, anybody know the story about it? what purpose was it for because of the roofmounted spotlite? would be a nice rebuilt if someone has a Packard left over.... is it still in existance? ;)

Dinin were a short lived French electric car manufacturer 1904 - 1906.
Batteries were located under a frontal bonnet ( hood ) and under the seat. The bonnet hiding the batteries gave the appearance of a petrol car.
The photograph is of the Lisbon Motor Show around 1925 and it appears that perhaps Dinin had by this time concentrated on electrical products and batteries.

  29. but both of the cars to be seen are Amilcars, right? would be nice to see a Dinin.
btw, the car on the right looks to be coated with a patterned kind of leatherette, maybe some exotic animal pattern or something like this ??

The gray cells are failing me; a full size fastback Ford like this never made production past 1964 did it? Tom S. in Tn.
