I think the '67 Galaxy had that roofline, or real close.

 

The fullsize had a fastback through '68. For '69-'70 they went to a "SportsRoof" which had the regular notchback glass, but long sailpanels that simulated the look of a fastback.

 

Oh Ford did indeed have that roofline from 1967 until 1969............ scrubba

The top pic labeled Ford Bubbletop; if I am not mistaken that car was built about 8-10yrs ago by Gary 'Chopit' Fioto. Super nice car but not a 'vintage' pic.

That is correct, I was going to post the same info along with the photo after I had read all the posts.

 

I agree. I believe this car was at the So Cal Speed Shop Open House Day in June this year. I took some shots of it .

 

This one was actually a concept cat, note grill and fender louvers. But there was a full sized fastback up through at least 69.

 

Bubble headlamp covers too. It's siblings like the Magic Cruisers are interesting...

Well, pretty sure it's not one of the 3-4 Panthers (or Panther Daytona). I recall reading on a Packard site a while back that it was also not a "show" car, though "concept" is, maybe, a fair description. It was said to have been purpose built for one of the senior Packard leadership (MacCaulay?) who would soon be passing the torch over. Since it was a personal-use car, I suspect it may have survived, but I can't say from memory alone. And that silly spotlight is just plain dumb.

As for recreating this, it seems as though a flower car would make a nice platform.
