It appears they offered this in 1962 as well. I could not find any photos of survivors.

 

1958 Edsel Amblewagon.

Through 1959, the Amblewagon could be built on an Edsel Villager, Roundup or Bermuda platform as well as any of the Ford or Mercury wagons. The rarest and most desirable Amblewagon is the 1958-1959 Edsel conversion. It is unknown how many Edsel-Amblewagons were built, but several 1958-59 examples still survive.

Gotta be Bill Cosby with the champ. Cool picture. He owned a twin turbo Cobra back then I believe.

The art style of that ad is psychedelic in a sense, but the car illustration suggests early 50's.

While LDS did exist then, it wasn't used outside the medical community until Timothy Leary began propagating it in the early sixties. So it's doubtful that agency artists were dropping it in 1952!

I would guess that this guy inspired Von Dutch, Jeffries and Roth.
