Door Lettering for Idiots, PLEASE Show Us "How-To"

    Jeff Styles did a cool how to on painting a door sign in Cl***ic Trucks magazine using a vinyl stencil. He painted the lettering in with 1 shot, let it set up for a few minutes then removed the mask. Then he used reducer on a rag to weather the lettering. If you google it, you'll find a link to the how to.

    A viable option for those who are either artisticly challenged or don't have a competent sign guy . I've always called this the "mask and mop" method.

    the way I started pinstriping and sign painting was to print out a design and place it under a sheet of gl***. That way you can wipe it off and practice as much as you want. It's important to have the right paint and the right brushes. I use Mack lettering quills and the 00 and 000 brushes for striping. It really does look easier than it is. After being an airbrush artist for the past 8 years, I thought I had a pretty steady hand. That was until I picked up a hairy brush
