  1. Looks like a 52 Buick Roadmaster Hardtop at the end of the row - what a shame!

  4. dont think its cosby i think its richard roundtree "shaft" could be wrong

cosby had the second cobra supersnake he did a comedy skit about it called 200mph he sold it to a doctor or a dentist who took it racing and tottalled it and sadly lost his life in it ( you know the other remaining supersnake sold a barret jackson for 4 million)

  10. And that one "cube" made a big difference in a Z-28 then it did in a 55 Chevy with the one less cube.

  11. Russian soldiers tankers, Sherman loved for their comfort, and did not like their fighting characteristics. Sherman is very high (good target), in a narrow groove (not often resistant tipper) and heavily burned because of a gasoline engine.

Can you imagine the ribbing Chevrolet would have taken if they had announced a brand new Z-28 powered by their "all new" 301? The 4.000" bore by 3.000" stroke figures out to 301.59 cubic inches, so neither early hotrodders nor Chevrolet were wrong. Its all in how you round off the math.

It did when they checked you at post race tech. If and engine was claimed as a 301 it had better measure 301 ...... so ..... you always add 1 extra Cu In to the engine size. That's why the 302 number for engine size.

If you hold down the ctrl key on lower left of your keyboard and hit the + key you can zoom in. Then hit the - key to zoom back out. I did this and it looks like it says Baroner on the front of the car.

It's already been answered, but actually I did the same, zoomed it as big as it would go, but then looked at it from across the room, squinted a bit and the word Gardner came to me. Then another poster had said it was Gardner

Well, the ribbing would have hit both the Bowtie AND the blue oval - 'cause they both have a 4.000" bore and a 3.000" stroke, so there is no cubic inch either way - they're both 302's, just like they advertised 'em.
Oh yeah, and as an engineer, rounding 301.59 to 302 is correct .......................... to three significant figures.
    ;););)

  29. I was lucky enough to drive a restored M4A4 Sherman a couple of years ago with this powerplant for about 2 miles. It was an amazing experience. The power of that motor is immense. Its basically 5 Dodge Weapons Carrier engines... 30 cylinders!! And amazingly smooth and quiet at idle! An immense piece of engineering and amazing to drive... bloody hard work though... tough boys them tankers!!
