Hey everyone, I just picked up a '54 Ford COE that I will be attempting to accomplish a frame swap/turning it into a pickup truck. I saw there was an actual group dedicated to COE's here, which is awesome. Here's some pics of it, still working on dismantling it and popping it off the original frame. http://photobucket.com/54fordcabover

Hi and Welcome. Yes do join the COE group here. great bunch of guys. and you wont get any of the "non traditional bs" about your coe there as you could get on the main board.

Ive got a 53 C600 MH COE as well as a 52 Ford COE I hope to build someday.
I'm in Utah and your user name sounds familiar, must have been the red 54 COE parts i was selling a while back? sorry that didn't work out.

yeah jf, that red one was probably me who was talking to you. Still thinking I will need a drivers side fender/step. But I'll do as much as I can without it. This is going to be a slow, step by step build on almost no money. Thanks for the messages.

    here's the group link: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=333

I am using this econoline van that I got for really cheap. it's an '82 half ton with a carbureted 302 in it. Easy to find parts that way, and more manageable all around.

Yeah there's the link, you beat me to it.

I got an '82 econoline van for real cheap, so I'll be swapping right onto that with the existing 302/c6 that's in it.

Nothing wrong with an econo/econo build. Built mine in 1990 real cheap too - grafted '73 Chevy heavy half frame out back and the '73 crossmember bolted/welded to the COE frame up front. That way I saved the COE superstructure. $50 donar '70 Cad for 472 engine and turbo 400. Got it back after 18 years and she still runs the same. (After some work - see link in my sig).

    ;)
