Well we didn't sell the side car so maybe we will be there for some minibike mayhem again if we are invited.

Trucks like this, at TORQUE FEST 2012, is reason enough to attend TORQUE FEST 2013.

Alex has a sweet RPU, super nice guy, too. He was in our hotrod caravan to Torque Fest 2012, hopefully for 2013 as well.

Been watchin my VTF 12" DVD nonstop the last few days, making me get the itch. Is it time yet???

When we will be able to pre-reg? And I assume (I think ive asked but my memory is horrible) there will be camping on site at the new location?

Yes there is camping. Mostly primitive but there are a few places nearby for big RVs

How about the pre volunteer list? Has Mitch got that going yet? I know everyone is still catching their breath from the Invasion but its never too soon ya know. Count me in again. Plus Vintage Drags on Sunday at Earlville to fill all of your car addictions in one weekend. I think I am going to need a week off afterwards to recover from the sensory overload. Vintage Torquefest 2013, can't wait.

    THURSDAY!

The city of Dubuque has agreed to let us have an OPEN HEADER PARADE in downtown Dubuque.
This will be a cool pre party type atmosphere - laid back and ALL cars are welcome.
As of now - we will start out at the McGraw Hill and drive through downtown on a designated route and wind up at ???? (details to be announced later)
Overall this is a great chance to just mingle with some fellow gearheads and let the public see what is coming to town.
I realize many can't make the Thursday night parade - but there are a lot of locals that do the local Grafitti Nights there in East Dubuque that have stated they would participate in the parade.
I think we will be able to get at least 100 cars since this is open to everyone.
The police WILL be patrolling the parade and will not tolerate any burnouts or barking of tires.
Open headers WILL be permitted. We have been given the OK to waive the loud pipe ordinance for the entire weekend. So please do not worry about getting a ticket for loud pipes.
More details are being worked out and we will update as they come in.

There is already a "can't wait" vibe in Dubuque. First order of business when getting a 2013 calendar, mark off May 2-5 as being busy with no other commitments

Verno - I am glad to hear that - everytime I talk to Mr Duster he is really jazzed about the event coming to Dubuque - He is a cool guy and has done a lot in your area to keep the traditions rolling.

Yes - they are being REALLY great.
Everything we have asked for they have said yes....AND offered suggestions on how to make it better.
They are excited to have a national event coming to town.
They were at the show last year - AND they saw how many hotels in Dubuque were filled.....
now that we are IN Dubuque there should be even more filled up!
