Another one of my buddy Rascal, usually goes everywhere with me but I don't think he's gonna be allowed in my '55 BelAir anymore, just got the interior redone and freshly painted, all in black - and he jumps around and sheds WAY too much.

have two great danes, Hemi and Archie, Archie loves, LOVES the cars, his favourite is sitting on the back seant with his paws on the floor and his his resting on the back of the front seat. He loves the cars so much he just lies down in the back seat when they are in garage and I'm working away on them.

My 24/7 buddy co-worker and best friend Stripe (he had a tiny white stripe on his chest) . was hit and killed on 1-3-13 . His most favorite thing in the world was riding with me. More people knew his name than mine. I am twice divorced with no children . he was my baby , he was born in my backyard . I miss him so much . love ya Stripe, R.I.P.

I feel your pain man, what I don't understand is how you could let your buddy get into a situation where he could be hit.

Yeah, I know, ya gotta let a dog be a dog but Jesus, ya gotta keep an eye on him and keep him off the road.

    Sorry for your loss.

    Sorry for your loss.
Keep your head up and try to get another buddy soon.
There are plenty who need rescued and need a home. They will never replace Stripe but they need love too.

Sorry to hear about Stripe. Been there too often. As I type this I also look at our three knuckleheads who are vying for a scratch and appreciate them all. The toughest part of owning a dog is knowing that they won't be around as long as we are. We just gotta love 'em while they're here, and when they're gone provide a good home for another one or ten. I've had dogs for the majority of my 58 years and cherish them all. If only they could learn how to hand me wrenches...

Don't mean to be kicking him at all, my K dog loves to run at her first opportunity and I have to be on guard at all times to prevent her getting away from me, just saying that's all.

Maybe I didn't phrase it right, no harm meant.

I figured you weren't trying to be a prick, I live in the country and can count on two hands ,( sometimes one) how many people drive by my place in a weeks time , last summer while taking my dogs for a run along the creek ,we were heading to the house ,when one of my huskys was hit and killed as he ran for the house, Guy never even stopped or slowed down, I was probablly 20 feet behind him, Just sayin things in life don't alway work perfect, Tim Jones
