That's a neat looking suspension set up to the left of that Baby Caddy. Was that what was used on the full sized Caddy of the era?

The only photo that looks suspicious is the Marilyn/Elvis shot. MM soft facial lighting seems out of place with EP's full sun/harsher shadows. Was there an itty-bitty cloud over MM?

Cool info about Kirkbride. The tower Swi66 posted is actually the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, MA. The modern structure is its museum. Appropriate for Thanksgiving.

Chrysler Norseman
The car was to be a featured attraction of Chrysler’s auto show exhibit for 1957 and was shipped by Ghia to New York City in July 1956. The car was shipped on the ocean liner SS Andrea Doria, which was involved in a collision off the coast of Massachusetts and sank, with the loss of forty-six lives and all cargo.

Carsten, Rockwood is about 40 miles west of me - you're right, it isn't a big town. During the time I was still working, I had occasion to be in the Rockwood area for a few weeks at a time every couple of years, so I know the area reasonably well. To be honest, the town doesn't seem so different from the videos even today, with the exception of the vehicles and a few other things. Life moves a little slower in a small town.

 

This busy street scene shows us downtown St. Louis, Missouri, taken from Seventh, looking south on Locust St. Other than the building on the right, which has since been modernized, the rest of the buildings have been been replaced and the street today has been narrowed and is a one-way.
