    Description: The boiler of this locomotive exploded on 2 December 1898 at Roma Street, Brisbane. The locomotive was an American built QGR Class A 12, No. 62, built by Baldwin Locomotive Works. Information about this locomotive can be found in the 1898 Votes and Proceedings of the Queensland Legislative Assembly volume 1 commencing on page 315. The Court of Enquiry into the explosion was recorded in the 1899 Votes and Proceedings of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.

    Yeah, great shot, but I really wish LIFE had sent a photog who had known how to shoot fast action at sporting events! This is probably a one-of-a-kind photo, and it's blurred. :(
