  1. How's that little girl doing? I hope you are able to get some time to work on your '56.

  2. She is doing great. The cardiologist is planning her surgery for next month. Nervous....but I know she is in good hands. Thanks for asking it means alot.

As for the 56.....Its at my buddys shop about an hour and a half away so I really havent done much to it. He has been taking care of the front suspension and rear floors. Im still trying to get my f100 up and goijg so I have something to drive and save gas.

did you ever get your shocks mounted on the front of the 56? I am getting ready to mount mine and I'm looking for some ideas.

  6. I havent worked on it lately plus the car is about an hour and a half away from me.

  7. IWell the body drop or channeling either way...It should be started this week or the latest next week. So should have some more pics and progress pretty soon for you guys. Sorry for the delay.

Glad to see you back at it... it's gonna be a sweet ride.

  9. I hope so...I refuse to let this car slip out of my hands. The 55-56 ford and mers getting more popular to build doesn't matter what model they are. My goal is to try and blow them all away :D

I saw a black 55 Mainline 2 door at a car show and thought it was the best looking car there. They make a great ride. Keep us posted on your progress.

  11. Yeah I love the lower models....I will keep everyone posted on this build. It will take some time but will get there.

  14. If I ditch the air cooled fordomatic and get a fluid cooled fordomatic do I need to lengthen or shorten the driveshaft? Also do I have to get a new radiator or just run one of those trans coolers in front of the radiator?

  15. Just run a big aftermarket tranny cooler by itself. Not sure about the driveshaft.

  16. Car looks good and I'm sure you will have a rad ride when it's all said and done. I am really sorry to hear about you're daughter. I really hope she is okay. Thoughts and prayers to you're family.

  17. Right in front of the radiator right? Anyone have any idea on the drive shaft?

  18. Thank you for the kind words it means a lot! She is doing great! The car is a slow process due to funds

Thats what I'm talking about! Awesome! I like where this is headed.

  20. Thanks!! I'm trying to get it at least back to rolling and into assembly

  21. I'm still looking for the answer for my previous question on the fordomatic trans. I have an early 1955-56 fordomatic air cooled trans and I'm contemplating on swaping it out for a fluid cooled fordomatic or cruisomatic or possibly fmx? If I go that route will my drive shaft be a direct bolt on to those trans? What about my stock trans mount?

I am running a FMX behind my 390. trans mount lined up no prob and the driveshaft bolted right up, its about a half inch shorter but still grabs plenty inside the tailshaft. Hope this helps

  23. Awesome!!! That helped a bunch! Now the only question I have now is will an fmx bolt right up to a 292?

Damn! Lost track on this one.
It would be low enuff for me, but i respect the will of gettin a step further.

And on that subject, do you remember the body dropped and doored 54 that ''The Lowering Block'' did in the late '90s (or early 2000s maybe)?
It was featured in the "Kustoms by TSR" 'zine that was out back then, and was all over the Ruff Rodders forum.
I will dig out a picture for you if you've never seen it as im sure you'd love it.

  28. It actually rings a bell. I'm trying to remember though.... Yeah I have been on ruffrodders forever!! Lol. Its been down for a little bit due to the server crashing.

  30. Haha! Never heard that term towards a situation like this...but always a first for everything. Right!? Lol. I have been trying to get going on this project but I have had a lot going on. Got to get my f100 going first so I can bring this 56 back home.
