  2. Another ***** here. No tank stickers until the '67's.

Nice score, I vote blackwalls with that color combo.

Rockfish, congrats on your purchase! old 5 spokes & blackwalls would be killer

I would love to buy an old paint 61/62, would be just as happy as you are.

Be proud and enjoy your car, Bob

Man...Look at all the 'vette *****s come out of the shadows. :D
I don't feel nearly as lonely now. I've loved Corvettes all my life and buy cheap ones and fix them up a bit every chance I get. I never get to play in the big leagues of the C1 and C2's though. They are WAY outta my budget.
On the '64, I'd go with either blackwalls of gold stripes, myself. That is a beautiful car....wish it were in my garage next to my old '86.

Another ***** reporting in. Guess I need to walk over to my neighbor again and ask him about the 63 split window collecting cobwebs in his garage.

Congrats, and glad to hear persistence pays off sometimes!

Nice find you big, no I can't say it! Really nice car, I like the idea of Torque Thrusts with blackballs. The slicks with steels would be a cool look for an occasional blast around town.

    Just another *****.

LOVE the car and the color! That looks to be a nice virgin piece!!! You're gonna have some fun with it!!

My dad and I are restoring a Riverside Red '63 convertible at the moment. We've got a long ways to go. Your starting with a much cleaner example.

Actually there is one not too far from you, near Marlow, if you go to the Duncan swap look on the south side of the road and you will see part of it under a tarp inside an open front shed.
The father won;t sell it, been there since 68.

And going with the OP there was a 61-2 here in Okmulgee that was the same basic story. The vette sat for years in the garage. The owner was a Teacher and was fixing it up as a show car, then got sick. It sat in the garge until the owner died and a friend bought it from the widow the day after his funeral and then sold it on Ebay last year.

looks great... Has any one slapped you yet, to wake you up? Most of the time they are dreams. Living a mile away she must have thought you deserved it.
    Congratulations

Nice, leave it as it is. You don't see many Vettes that color. Everyone wants to paint them red because they listened to Prince too much (There's more red Vettes than Chevy made). As for tires, thin white walls as it would have had when new.

  20. Sweet score! I am digging the redline idea on old Americans.

  21. Great looking Vette! Hopefully it won't take much to get her roadworthy. There's few thrills better than an early Sting Ray at full song on an open road! Once again gentle perseverance pays off..enjoy your find!

As for the rest of you - Wot a bunch 'o' Pr..... nevermind. ;)

Cool. Makes me want to be a Corvette ***** too. I say juice up the motor and just run it like it is with the black steel wheels. The color is kind of bad *** enough by itself and doesn't need any fancy rims to prove anything. Combo with some simple black walls or thin reds.

Sam just got to learn to keep your lead foot home. Drove it from Or to Az on cruise & that's what the figures stated. I was blown away myself. Now around town was a differant story & I have since sold it. Came out of wally world one day & watched a couple just drooling all over it . Being the smart *** ***** that I am I said it's for sale. That was it,gone in 60 seconds. Wish I could sell the rest that easy. No ****ering or haggle just follow us to the bank.

I painted and re did the interior in mne this past year....so I have to show it sometimes too....just has raised white letter tires....I think it came originally with F70-15 Firestones...I think you could get raised white letter or red lines in 68.

Looks like it has a high-horse redline tach from the interior photo. If so, it would have been a 365hp car originally. Very very cool find indeed! Congrats.
