Could this be 1928 Pontiac built by Joe Pring and then owned by John Chappelow as seen on page 86 Australia's Hot Rod Heritage book by Graffiti Publications. High headlights and cowl lines and racing mirror suggest it could be. ? ? ? Regards[/QUOTE]
Yes my thoughts exactly, the giveaway is the mirror like you said & also the steering wheel & the fact that is right hand drive.
    Cheers Charlie.

On December 12, 1948, the first McDonald’s restaurant opened at 14th and E Street in San Bernardino CA., which sold 15¢ burgers and 10¢ fries using a “Speedee Service System.”

Can't find a photo, But the one in the sixties was right across the street from the original. It was a Major turn around spot for cruising E. What can you share about E St. in San Berdoo?

By 1965 the original McDonalds on E St. was sold, and a newer McDonalds had been built
across the street (on the south side of E.). On the corner to the north was a Speed Shop, (which later turned into a headshop). nwbhotrod did you cruise on E St. in the sixties? Just curious because of your request for a '65 photo.????

To me it looks like an English Ford Anglia -- I bought a red one in 1960. (They race them in England now.)

Excellent post, I was going to suggest the same thing! That song is a mini-history of McD's and a great take on Ray Kroc.

Nah, Mk2 Zephyr, owned them in the past.

Still have an Anglia - they're smaller and have a cut-back rear window.

Nice shot but it's from 1959 (or possibly '62) - note the Chrysler's a '58, and there's a '59 Plymouth and '59 Rambler wagon on the right. The registration sticker on the Chrysler is white, a color only used in '59 and '62 in that series.
