I read this from start to finish! Truly inspiring work you are doing, you must have the patience of a hundred men and the equal skill of them as well Keep it up!

A suggestion from me would be to stick with the height on the shoebox you have now, looks killer! But that is just my opinion. I have a thing for customs that is not slammed to the ground like a flat out tire. Anyway you do I'll bet it will look super.

Great thread. I was wearing myself out going back and forth comparing so I did a quick side by side to see.

Well, summer's over. Time to get back to work.

The tank is mounted.

 

I'm waiting on some other parts, so I decided to tackle the window trim and chopping the vent wings.

A jigsaw puzzle.





Welding the trim was nerve racking.

It's just too easy to blow thru this stuff.

I had to drink a couple beers just to get my hands steady.

Still chopping stainless, modifying the glass runs, making glass templates.....

A moderate chop doesn't look so moderate when you compare it to the stock trim.

Yes, I tig welded, filed, sanded, and lightly buffed.

They look pretty good now, but will stuff buff some more.

My plan was also tig weld them,but i am not sure does my welder work with low amps.I guess 15 or something is fine with them?
