A virtual unknown of sorts, the Nando Haase owned, John Smyser driver Radar Wheels Spl won the 65 HRM Championships. And like all top fuel winners, it earned a cool cover shot in HRM.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The '53 Caddy LeMans from the GM Motorama series is amazing to look at, but the photo
shown was taken at the GM Heritage Museum not earlier than 1998, just 14 years ago, pos-
sibly later. Below are some original vintage factory pix, though, from ConceptCarz.

That's what I remember. Big news in our neighborhood in Hawaii around 1955 was that Mr. Shearer across the street " 'ey, he gotta fo'-puka Buick!", puka being Hawaiian for hole.

Heck, no! SŠkoda is an old czech car make. History dates back to 1895 when Laurin & Klement started building motorcycles and cars (in 1905). The land was part of Austria-Hungary back then. Czechoslovakia became independent state after WW1 and the car company merged with Šskoda works. They build fine cars before WW2. Then nazis occupied Czech and Russians occupied the country after the war. Car degenerated under communist rule period. In 1990's ŠSkoda become part of Volkswagen group. Today it's a popular and appreciated VW brand.

Just google ŠSkoda and you will learn much more.

I've seen these pictures before and I've always thought about how bummed this guy had to be that he had to drag "mom" along for the trip.

Damn, I'm gone again! Thanks guys for correcting me. Did Skoda build a car a few years ago that was based on the Fiat 124 sedan?

    You're thinking of Lada.

Skoda had such a reputation of being crap that when they relaunched under VW the ads were quite funny - they would show a pic of a decent looking car and say - It's a Skoda... Honest!!

But we're getting off hamb focus here - apologies in advance.

    Mart.
