That is one hell of a nice looking rig. What chassis, or axles are you using, drivetrain?

Now that is an interesting front end! I have never seem a truck like this before, looks very cool. I would hate to have this truck tail-gating me!

I have no idea how old or what these are off of, but I just bought 5 of these hubcaps. They measure about 20" across. Thick aluminum. They must be off a big truck. Missing parts I think.

I want a big truck some day.

  11. I've always liked Reo trucks. Our town fire department's first truck was a 1948 Reo with a Howe body. It was immaculately restored but now the current members let it go down hill, I don't even think it runs and quite a few of the knobs were stolen last time I saw it.

Here are a few. Three have power plants of over 1,000 c.i. and develop more than 1,200 lbs ft of torque.

  22. I'm into the Big Trucks too. This 1941 Chevy truck was a 1 1/2 ton truck. It was used to haul fire wood in it's last job, according to the guy I purchased it from in Spokane.
Long story short, a friend of mine wrecked a 1993 Isuzu trooper and gave me what was left, (I drove it up on the trailer and brought it home) . Dismantled both trucks, married the Chevy Cab to the Isuzu frame, dropped
a great running 350 small block between the frame rails and used a TH350 for a transmisson. Decided to install a third axle to make it a low riding 6 wheeler. It turned out to be a great driver, and it's tons of fun.:D

Thanks, I'm glad you like my truck. No, I don't have a build thread yet, I think my slow pace will bore everyone to death. Hoping to start up at a faster pace in the spring, and if that happens I may start a thread on it. I have enjoyed and been inspired by many of the build threads on the Hamb ImageUploadedByTJJ1358552601.753802.jpg

  25. I had this huge horse trailer in for repairs the other day and decided to back the 6 wheeler under it for some photo ops. Looks are deceiving.
