Nice Collection. When things improve I will be looking for an older single carb downdraft for my Model A. I already have a LZ 97 for it. I thought about the new one that Vintage Speed sells, but would rather have an older one. Rod

This was in the Yard at the Roadster Show at Pomona last year. Nice selection and great varieties too.

  5. looking for a R-3 or R-4 intake.....that would be for a Stude....

the Texas vender sets up at most of the major swap meets....he get's there early and get's most of the early deals....nice guy though....

for you Cali guys - my uncle made his three two for his first Olds and the 2x6 for the hemi - he held onto the hemi intake into the 80's before I said something....any home made ones in your stash?

I collect intakes too, but mine arent for sale really, i trade here and there but mostly collect, im up to about 53 intake set ups, i basically will buy and intake then collect up carbs to put on em then air cleaners etc etc, i have about 90 strombergs, i mainly just collect multi carb stuff, especially 6x2s, i have flathead, nailhead, cadi, olds, hemi and y-block stuff, and a few misc ones here and there too, i also collect valve covers, fuel blocks and gauges, lots-o gauges, im obsesive complsive so it fits me perfect, luckily i dont like drugs or else id be dead!

The six cylinder manifolds were at the Decatur, Texas swap meet which is the last weekend in Feb. I have his business card but don't know if it's okay by the forum rules to divulge it.

Ive got a Chevy engine collection, down to 12 from 23, not the smartest thing to collect, used to build a lot of engines so I kept the nicer blocks in my stash, my Father asked me last night actually if I'd sell a 4 bolt 350 block to a kid he knows from around town. Uh Uh, Im not sure, gave the guy a call and apparently he thinks its 1980 by his offer (3970010 high nickel, boiled magnafluxed standard bore that may clean up with a hone - no I wont take $75 and no I wont throw in a std, std steel crank for a $150 package deal) think Ill stay with 12. Once he told me he was building an S10 I lost interest.

Post this in the SALE SECTION. Why are you pushing these on the main board?

  13. Coilover, he's not from Florida is he? I think one of the Inliners members from there has a ton of inline 6 intakes that he buys and sells.

I see guys displaying collections,I did not read FOR SALE in those posts. On another note a while back Ryan posted pages from the Almquist catalog from days gone by in the Jalopy Journal, some of the companies from "back in the day" had their own in house intakes,I would like to see some pictures of those as well as companies that are no longer in production.

  15. When I see a "parts collection" on someone's workbench or on their floor, that's a personal collection and may not be "for sale".

HOWEVER: When I see a "collection of parts" on a tarp on the ground those are "parts for sale". Especially when the photos are encoded "SWAPMEAT" (yea I guess he can't spell)!

Nothing more and certainly nothing less.

Some of you guys are out of line. I never said these were for sale. I am not pushing these on any one. I just wanted to see some intake collections and see if anyone else had the same affliction. An in the first post stated I sell at swap meets. I sell a few manifolds here and am very grateful to the hamb. But when I want to sell it I will post it. Thanks to all that have contributed and posted some of the great pictures.jim

Why the constant btt from you "I need wall space"? Gotta move these items? Cool, post in the sale section. If it wasnt so obvious, so many would not have called you out on it. Did you PM all of those folks to keep their mouth shut also?

What is this then? And the title is "for sale" Seriously wtf?

Numerous people asking for intakes after you post pictures of your "collection", which is ONLY swapmeet pics.

95% of your posts on the HAMB are for sale items, just dont think you're going to bring that onto the discussion board too.

Weird how SO many folks were confused and wanted a piece of your collection. I hope I saved you from those scavengers. Collections are best left intact.
