Ok so I have posted this in the past but it is coming along a little more, here are some pics of my engine for my roadster. I still have the 401 buick but it needs a full rebuild and this one I had sitting around and was cheaper to rebuild and faster to rebuild. Just trying to dress it to look a little better.

The hardest part to find in this pic was the Weiand WC4D. I'm super excited to hear it run though.

Looks won't make it run any better. A stock 265 in a 55 Chevy looks darned purddy to me.
    Just kidding!;) Lookin good.

Now ya need one of those fancy-schmancy "ribbed for your viewing pleasure" oil filler tubes.

You could always pull that out and put a Flathead in there,

Problem Solved! and Just Think, you won't have to worry about keeping the hood closed at car shows or starting your engine and smoking out the folks in the lawn chairs anymore!

    :D

Hey moefuzz I don't run a hood and I'm not embarrassed by the engine. I yanked out the flathead I had because of the lack of power. As far as smoking is concerned it is all new inside and I built it myself.

I saw the thread title and expected to see a SBC in a scrap metal dumpster or something similar. It looks nice, not my cup of tea but nice.

    Now I understand.
Recently I read a thread of the plight of a senior member here.
Guess his computer was going out and he wished to bid adieu.
The staunch came out in force.
Another long-timer attempted to console him and mentioned something about "...don't worry about the newbies cause they'll go away...."
    I immediately took offense.

    I understand now.

  28. One thing you could do to make it a little better is ditch the Chinese valve covers...

And the heads, run some without accesory holes.

    The rest looks great!

Youi don't have to make excuses or apologize to anyone for that engine........it looks great. I think there should be a new rule on the HAMB. When someone says something negative about someone elses ride they should have to post a picture of THEIR car so we all can critique it. I bet that would cut down on the flaming. :D

Well I can tell you I'm not ditching the heads, to run some with out accessory holes, they're bow tie heads and will out flow and perform the older heads. You know Don there will always be people talking shit, mainly cause it makes them feel better about their selves.
