Getting close to that 6K mark and that includes a fresh rebuild on the nailhead.

I bought a stalled project from a friend for $2500.00, and got cab parts, a box, fiberglass grille shell, 4 fiberglass fenders, front and rear axles, seat. I was given a worn out flathead that had 1 broken valve, and 3 burnt valves. Fenton intake for $100.00, free saginaw 4 speed with hurst shifter, spent $160.00 on rebuild kit, 2 free Cragar wheels, 2 swap meet wheels for $25.00 each, 4 tires for $250.00 used, but very close to new, 40 Ford steering wheel repro for several hundred, Walker rad for $600.00, new brake parts were several hundred, Stewart Warner wings gauges were $250.00, '65 Ford pickup roof insert for $100.00, swap meet headlights and repro taillights, paint was about a thousand bucks for material, and it looks like it was painted by myself also. I have about 6 thousand in it, maybe less, not sure, as I didn't totally keep track of everything, but its definitely low buck. About a jillion hours of my time over almost 6 years to build.

I paid out. $2500 in a 27 RPU (as seen)paid 2k for it ,,thanks again brother Robert...another $500 in cragars and tires/big n little has a chromed front tube axle /disc now, going under it I got for zip inna trade, from a friend.Traded me a rolling T frame with a jag rear and the speedway axle( yea I know)for a $200 47 chevy...told him it wasnt a fair trade for him! he said Roy (another good buddy) gave it to him for helping him in time of need.(Eds that way) so be it, whao am I to argue with fate right? Changed out the front ends on both cars, and sold the T chassis for $1700 with a old nailhead anna 2 speed tranny I had lying around...so basically I have about $1500 cash give or take in tha whole project.......Dont hate me....Car is an early 80s build,Motor adapter and radiator was not with it...Originally, had a 427.and adapter for a push button torqueflite (4 sale) early olds rear...interior all there in decent shape, building a 350/350 4 it, I had lying around...about to pull it dpwn and blast the frame etc. so materials .radiator, motor gasket kit, some stuff lying around my garage...and a little tlc, and this old bodyman will have a hot rod again.. Thanks to all my friends, and keep it real L.B ........... Build em cheap and drive em!
