Vintage shots from days gone by!

Above frame shot of female with air hose reminds when my folks took to Disneyland in '62. In taking the submarine ride, they had college aged girls submerged in the pool dressed as mermaids. They had air hoses next to them that allowed them to gulp air just before and after the ride passed. I dont know how long that lasted before CAL-OSHA shut it down.

Early grass track side hackers. Grass track is really a novel sport. Basically speedway bikes or hacks on a grass oval. Saw it once when I was in college trekking through the UK.

 

The Akron, OH chapter (since merged with the Cleveland chapter) saved my life in the early 1980's.

 

This was in Santa Monica socal.

Thanks for adding some info. John Brown. Have always dug this car, all the classic elements of a Gasser. The site I found the picture on (a long time ago) didn't have any description. So yeah, if anyone has more information, it would be greatly appreciated.
