Hey Sphynxter, yeah you can just mount the axle to the frame but it looks awhole bunch cleaner if you just whack the frame off just past the steering box. Plus it just looks badass-er.
I do agree on the badass looks R. Seghister. Wondered if it was more for looks than function either way it was damn sure worth is.
I was just curious. I would in the future like to build one. The straight axel would be a must do for me. Like anyone on here there are a ton of projects I would like to take on however a 55 or 56 chevy are still pretty obtainable cars. I have had a couple but everytime I see a nose high 55 I get emotional. So I was just asking a simple question. I actually got a pm from another member who told me to just ask the guy whos actually built one not the guy who pays someone to build it.
OK, sorry for the delay. I had my own***** storm to deal with but I am done with that. I will resume work on my '55 Gasser Build now.
Hey Brian. Going to go check out interior shops today and make a parts delivery to my engine builder and get an update.
Yeah ok Frank, I'll do it just for you,*****. I'll say it again. I had a*****load of***** to deal with first.
Really looking forward to seeing this one in person one more time. It was already supercool but you really knocked it out of the park on the re-do.
INTERIOR? Thought this was a gasser, just need a fiberglass bucket seat with a naugahyde cover! Just yankin your chain, 55 is looking good, you'll enjoy it for sure when it's on the road.
Damn if I didn't get a great price for a complete interior from Nacho's in No. Hollywood and I can't find my four inside window Garnish Mouldings to finish it. I really need these parts so if anybody has four inside window Garnish Mouldings for my '55 Chevy 2door post that they would sell me please give me a price plus shiping to: 93065 ASAP!!!
FALSE ALARM !!! As I thought, they're in Paint Shop jail. My painter has them and you know how hard they can be to get ahold of.
