Great find, cool story. Beautiful work Cory. realcustoms51: What is your air set-up for blasting? You must have a lot of air capacity. Waiting for the damn compressor is one of the things I hate most about blasting. Good job, somebody has to do the dirty work!
Our compressor pump is a 1964 Kellogg American that has been rebuilt twice. The pump has outlasted 3 electric motors. We still have the original old 80 gal. horizontal tank. When I look up parts for it, it's labeled as 24CFM at 175psi. I think the current age and wear and tear might rate it a little less. We have a drains everywhere for moisture.
I know Cory is glad that blasting is out of the way. Now comes the fun part and the part i really love.Cory took it down as far as he could go,now it's all FORWARD progress Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I am also glad the weather cooperated. The body swaps places with the frame. The first 4 pieces have to be shrinked on top to match frame and some other areas need help but here's a start.
those before shots of the floor look very familiar to me... I've been watching this closely as I need to do the exact same thing to mine.
