I recognize the 1956 Pontiac Starchief JR electric powered Promotional car but the prototype Oldsmobile? I do not.

Great vintage shot of a 1955 Thunderbird JR and a couple Astin pedal cars. I had not seen this shot before and would love to know the back story on it. The Tbird was electric powered and far from cheap back then. Guess in need to search Time magazine archives for information?

To keep the kids happy when out driving, Jack Fletcher, designer at 21st Century Home, has installed three miniature steering wheels and a plastic windshield in their car at West Covina, Calif., Jan. 4, 1955. In the car are: Joan Fletcher, left-front, Jack Fletcher, right-front and in the backseat are: Johnny, 21 mos., Janie, 3yrs. and Ricky, 21 mos.

    I have no idea.
The original F88 was from 1954 and is well documented. This one I can find very little information or images of.

Too bad Oldsmobile didn't produce it, they would have had a winner for sure!
    My guess is '57/'58.

I'm trying to bring up images (hopefully) that have not been presented before.
As far as "getting this thread", well, it is a Traditional Rod & Custom forum.
While I appreciate an occasional old downtown scene, or a movie queen,
page upon page of that, is a bit tiresome, to at least me anyways.
