Who owns this car and does anyone have more pictures? Is the owner on here so we can get a good description of everything done to this car including what are those tailights? This is my favorite 49-50 Chevy kustom I have ever seen and would like to see more.

How long ago was this car built? I do not remember it in any magazines. By the looks of it it should have made it in one of the mags.

Car was built by Lucky 7 Customs in Antioch Ca. Marcos Garcia, Vince Byrne, Logan Stipe & Junior Gutierrez are the 4 guys responsible & interior by Bob Devine in Pittsburg Ca. Top was chopped 3 1/2 in the front & 3" in the back. Handmade grill opening with 1954 Desoto grill minus 2 teeth with handmade center bar to match contour of opening. Frenched stock headlights with extended hood to meet grill opening. 1951 Mercury tail light lenses with handmade bezels. Moulded front & rear pan. Shortened & frenched rear bumper. Engine is a hopped up Chevy straight six 250 built by Loyd Engineering in Oakley,Ca. Transmission is a 700r4. Front suspension consists of Fatman dropped uprights & custom shortened springs. Rear is c-notched with dearched leaf springs & 4' blocks along with adjustable air shocks. A lot of other modifications have been done to make it look like nothings been done to keep it as clean looking as possible. The crew at Lucky 7 have been building clean *** Customs for over 20 years & Marcos Garcia's paint jobs are legendary. It was a pleasure to work with them.

This car was just finished in Feb. 2013 in time for Sacramento Autorama. As for coverage it'll be in the Nov. issue of Rod & Custom with pics by Tim Sutton & a future feature in Kustom Illustrated with pics by Bryan Rusk. This car gets drivin everywhere & it has the rock chips to prove it. Thanks for the kind words.

Absolutely stunning. Lines are perfect. Color is out of this world!! COSMIC. May have to swipe it to use on my Olds 98. Choice of interior colors and materials in spot on. Right off the pages of "little books"

COVERage is right... keep your eyes peeled. I've known Brett since we were kids, he has a cool 64 Galaxie and awesome 40 Plymouth Coupe as well. It was a really cool witnessing a nice, stock 49 Sport Coupe transform into the "Devil's Lettuce".

Devil's Lettuce. Craziest green I've ever laid eyes on. Saw it in Santa Maria and Gambino's Sit Down.

  24. My copy of Rod and Custom arrived today....two words...holy ****! Great article and the photos are incredible.

Congrats Brett....your car deserves every bit of coverage it receives.
