The best that we can do in this world that we live in is to treat others the way we would like to be treated ourselves. Sounds like you did. Unfortunately, there are times (and people) that prove that that doesn't always work. Just don't let the situation (or the person) fool you into thinking that there's any better way behave or to do things.

If he was really coming to do those things. He wouldent of told on his self............

  5. If the guy's phone number is listed, a google search will give you the name and address.

But honestly when I sell one I never want to see it again, I don't care who buys it.

Clear case of buyer's remorse, or maybe it does have a rot spot somewhere you missed, but so what? It's his job to look the damn thing over before he buys it. It looks pretty damn good to me.

  8. I once sold a car to a guy. He took the car had it inspected by a third party. We did a deal, he purchased the car, 2 weeks later he arrives at my door wanting his money back. He'd put a rod thru the sump.

Actually was a big guy from a bike club.

Told him: Mate you bought it, you own it if you dont like it not my problem.

I'd call and report the threat to the police just so there is a record of complaint. If for no other reason that if the "Outlaw Biker" actually did arrive or do something there's something in the system.

    You've done nothing wrong

Caveat emptor, Buyer beware. Sold "As is" no warranty express or implied. He was satisfied when he took delivery after inspecting it and entered into a binding contract for sale. A bit late to change his mind now. It's a 46yr old car not a new car. What does he expect a concourse restoration!

Post his phone number on here and let us harass him :D For that matter, just post it all over craigslist and every other forum, I'm sure he'll get tired of the calls

  15. I'd call it in like everybody else has said. That way it's been brought to attention that the guy is a bit off.

I've never met an "Outlaw Biker" that called himself that, though. Like others have said. He's likely just trying to bully you and with these Outlaw Biker type shows like "Sons of Anarchy" around you get get tons of yuppies acting the part. He made the decision, he looked it over. It's his own damn fault.

Agree with all that has been said...

However, If you are really worried about the safety of your wife and property, have him return the vehicle and give him his money back with a witness (police?) present.

How much is peace of mind worth?

  17. He probably isn't an "outlaw biker", just a chicken shit! Call the cops.

Sold a 70's Camaro to a kid and his mother who paid for it. Few days later kid calls wanting his moms money back because the trans went out of the Camaro. Well when they bought the car they only wanted 100. as the selling price on the title. They called several times demanding a refund. I told them I was not required to refund them anything, but I would give them the 100. selling price they put on the title and cheated the state out of the extra tax money. Never heard from them again.

He's probably just spend nine days listening to his ole lady rag on him about how that was the money she was going to use to buy herself some more tatoos.

well listen to the guys here. call the law and get it down in writting. that way if he does show up its been noted. and when you kill him at your home your butt is covered. one thing is that if was a real outlaw he wouldnt have called you, we would have just shown up. he wouldnt have threatened you on the phone.he would do it face to face.and dont give him back the first cent.add some force to your voice if he calls agin and tell him your story.he looked at he he paid for it and its his period! been there done that.

Report the threat to the authorities. You absolutely have the right to defend yourself, family, & property in the state of Ohio. I know this from experience. He made the threat, giving you the upper hand to prepare to defend as warranted.
