He bought it from a guy last year for $22k

In the 70's it was rear ended on the drivers corner and killed the owners son while they were changing a flat tire off the side of the road. It has been parked since.

He's selling the car without the cool magnesium wheels that it came with.

I was told by the second or third owner that Barbara Eden from """I Dream Of Genie""" used to race this car in the late 60's. This Willys used to be in the Los Angeles area then it ended up San Diego area. I hope this helps.

Yes Barbara Eden. Back in the 80's I was attending a trade school in Los Angeles the car was parked about 2 miles from the school on Washington and Figueroa.
I spoke to the old man who had it back then he showed me pics with Barbara at Orange County Raceway. It had 60's paint scheme with some primer spots.
I did not buy the car because I thought the price was too high.

Am I missing something, what's been done on it this past year to make it go from $22 to $45 other than taking the wheels off?

This car did also flash up briefly on craiglist earlier this year at $45.

She was around the drags so she my have jump in the Willys a give it a shot.

This is From the November, 2007 issue of Street Rodder

For some of the young women, like a stunning and leggy 19-year-old named Raquel Tejada or a radiant blonde, Barbara Huffman, the trophy girl gig was just a way station on the path to bigger stardom. The finish line ritual was a natural way to be seen and photographed.

Raquel Tejada, who went on to stunning film and modeling success as Raquel Welch, often posed in the late '50s with midget race car winners at Balboa Stadium in San Diego. Barbara Huffman became Barbara Eden and enjoyed years as a TV star on "I Dream of Jeannie." She was a gracious and willing participant in any number of hot rod expositions and drag races in Southern California.

I can see Barbara as a trophy girl but as a driver and much less a driver of a Willys Gasser, I just cant amagine that. Not saying its not true just cant see it, I would like to though.

Barbra was involved with the drag scene in the fifties. She was making major motion pictures through out the 60's. I can't see her driving a willys down the track at this time.

Perhaps someone mistakenly thought Barbara Hamilton(ex-Willys Gasser driver, for those who don't know) was Barbara Huffman/Barbara Eden aka "I dream of Jeannie"..

That's really a sad deal..Shame the car is priced out in the stratosphere otherwise, someone could get her going again..

Anyway you shake a stick at this deal the cars rough and not all steel which in turn makes my car underpriced at 40.does this mean Iam raising my price? No mines realistically for sell.

Christmas Eve and I want to wish all a Merry Christmas and to thank Hot Rod Willys for starting this thread. It is fantastic and gives me hours of great pictures and information on the WILLYS CARS, TRUCKS, and the people that own them. Thank you all. You are talking about Barbra Hamilton and her car: it's stance & color except I would like a 392" 6.4 L. HEMI powering the car. Or anything with some power for street (90% of the time) and strip the other 10% is my Dream car (no blowers). Of course Barbra Eden would be OK also!!
