My Aussie built desoto hasn't changed much or moved very far in 3 years from the 3 pics in my album and there's not enough of my t model to bother posting pics yet. I'm determined to change that this year with plenty of pics to follow. And no it won't look anything like that when its done
I agree, and I just started to add pics to my profile. I realized this was a good idea when I started looking at other members I was talking to.
PM Ryan. He might take this thread into consideration when it comes to improving the HAMB experience.
Because unless you are under a certain age, posting pictures is beyond a PITA. I love pictures, and I have some I'd like to post, but it would take ME all damn day. I'm lucky to have registered here. It would be nice if someone could help us old farts and show us an easy way to post pictures.
Im one of the ones who cant post pictures. Several members have listed instructions, But Im one of the older ones who can work on cars but not the computer. Have tried many times, with no success. Maybe Ill figure it out someday. Speedy
yeah i dont have any albums on my page but i post links to TONS of pics that ive taken and if you want to see my cars you can search for my for sale add for my 50 shoebox and follow the link in it to my photobucket there you can see pics of most of my cars and my girlfriends hamb friendly 50 pontiac you can also see all my pics taken at the shows and cruises around me
I got tired of certain folks jumping on my head for building "wrong" stuff. Most of what I build is for customers. They call the shots, not me. My own stuff is just too weird.
well, i just tried. i can post photo's with the best of them, but, damn, if i can figure out the alblum thing. what do you put in the little box under title?
i just got a new i-phone, heck thats a new and exciteing experience every time the thing rings.i guess i could learn to post pics if i put my mind to it.................i think?
A lot of people have build threads. Full of pictures and information. It would be double the work to upload the photos to the album also. A simple search, found by checking their "statistics", of the threads users have started will usually bring up their build threads. Then you can go through and see what they are doing. Also, that same search will allow you to search their posts. You can usually figure out who the assholes are this way.
Or a bunch of other stuff. Good thing dreams are still free (they are still free, right?) Of course, someday one just may happen....
I've got a '29 coupster in process now and occasionally I take pics and add to the computer. But as slow as I am at building, I'd lose a build thread in a day, and I forget to take the camera out. So I figure I'll get it at least to the roller stage and then start a thread. Then someone might think I'm moving at a good speed on the build. RB
... more work, but not double. once they are posted here you could just cut and paste them into an album, or put them in the album first and cut and paste to a build thread
Ive had 2 HAMB friendly cars since i joined here. I posted what little work i did to my first project but since i moved to AZ in November i have yet to find a house where i could work on the Plymouth. when i find something ill have to get the car hauled out from California and then the build thread will start.
I think there's a sticky on how to post pictures but I can't remember how to get to it. Here's a link to my post on how to post pictures. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...discussionid=18102&gmid=327154#gmessage327154 Here's a link on how to embed videos also. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6463736#post6463736
Lets see if I can muddle my way through this(the picture part that is). Been working on an OT MGB restoration and a tubing straightener for the coiled up brake and fuel line for that prodject. I have been a flat rate mechanic since 1977(not that that means anything). I have worked on many classics, racecars(point champions) and poser cars(second place CCOA). Now I dont think my input is bad food for thought. So heres some pics of what I have been fuckin up.
I may be one of the guys you are talking about. I've never given it a thought about having an album, however I do have build threads on two of my projects. Merry Christmas! Bob
